Natasha Choufani is a Lebanese actress known for her versatility, emotional depth, and captivating screen presence.
Born and raised in the cosmopolitan heart of the UAE, she developed an early adaptability to diverse cultures, languages, and dialects; a foundation that would later shape her dynamic performances across film, television, and theater.
From portraying Marion, a French doctor aiding the Syrian resistance in Taj (2024), to embodying Toujan, a Caucasian sister-turned-pirate who survives slavery and plague in a historic epic Slave Market (2023), Natasha's characters are complex, layered, and vividly brought to life.
She has also played Nizam, the spiritual muse of Sufi philosopher Ibn Arabi in Maqamat al Ishq (2019), and Lara, a troubled orphan entangled in wealth and psychological turmoil in Ma Fiyi (2020). Her command of language and their dialects, spanning Arabic (Levantine, classical, and regional), French, and English; allows her to seamlessly inhabit culturally distinct roles with authenticity and ease.
A 2010 honors graduate in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University (LAU), Natasha built her career from the ground up, starting as an extra and immersing herself in intensive drama workshops. Her breakout role came in 2013 with the Lebanese TV hit Khtarab El Hay (Neighborhood Breakdown), where she played Dolly, a complex mix of jealousy, vanity, and vulnerability. The performance earned her a Murex D'Or nomination for Best Upcoming Actress in 2015. In 2016, she starred alongside Georges Khabbaz in Ma' el Waqt... Yimkin (With Time... Perhaps), a theatrical success that ran for six months at Beirut's Chateau Trianon Theater. Her cinematic debut in the feature film Mafkoud (Kidnapped) went on to win Best Directorial Debut at the Alexandria Film Festival in 2020.
